The Internet: a standardized system of interconnected computer networks the world over that brings millions of people together to access the vast accumulation of human knowledge, argue with strangers, and fawn over pictures of cats.

Our bodies are increasingly a part of this dynamic. From mainframes the size of a small office, to wall-sized servers, to the desk, then our lap, next our pocket and hand, now on the person, and, in many cases, even in the person.

We have a rising symbiosis; we’re connected to this system, feeding the machinery of of 21st century existence every time we go along with it, every time we log on.  That’s not hyperbole – each click, each stroke, each gesture, each step, each action.

This work is an examination into the physical traces this relationship leaves on the body.

How big is the internet? Where does it extend to? How big are you? Where are you?
